lyrics

Haven (out of this body)

I’ve got to get out of my body. I’ve got to get out of my everyday body.
I’ve got to take it up with the people (the people that are sittin’ upstairs).
If they’ll take me now I’ll be as happy as a fresh, slain lamb.

I’ve got to get out of this body. I’ve got to somehow get out of this everyday body Then I can do this without my human getting in the way.
I’ll lay him down here and you can smile as I sing this song.

Cause this is mE, MAN! Imagine that, MAN!
And if you think it sounds bad from there, you should try it from here.
I’ve traveled Eastward. I’ve traveled Westward.
I’m on the Black Diamond but I meant to ski the Bunny Hill.

You’ve got to get out of your body you’ve got to get everything of your body. You’ve got to make sure toxins are getting out all the way.
You’ve got a mess o’ mixture that I’d hate to try to figure out now.

I’ve got to get out of this body. I’ve never tried so hard to get out of a body.
I’ve taken a piece off here and there and some in pairs.
With what we have left there are some definite possibilities.

See this is ME! MAN! Get a load of THAT, MAN!
And if you think it sounds bad from there, shit, you should here it in here!
I’ve lead him Eastward. I’ve led him Westward.
I put him on the Diamond and I told him “It’s the Bunny Hill”.

Bridge o cords

We’ve traveled Eastward. We’ve traveled Westward.
We’ll keep serchin’ round searchin’ round for the perfect song.

(so far the only lines to repeat are “I’ve got to get out of this body.”)

Coming to the end is forever. I never would have guessed I’d go on here forever. But it’s the way things must’a turned out –supposed to be.
I’m singin’ up and down today. I’m wonderin’ if you’re ridin’ along.

So this is what I am Man! And this is what I do Man.
Keep lookin’ round looking round for the perfect song.
We’ll travel Eastword, we’ll traveled Westward
I thank you for letting us two here come along.
Guitar bridge to end.

(Cause it’s just me MAN! Doesn’t mean it’s you, man. I understand it might not be the best or the brightest thing.)

John's mother can attest to him dancing to the hum of the vacuum cleaner while he was still in cloth diapers. Since these early days JS10 has written over 200 songs, grown out of diapers, and released more than 6 full-length albums (& 1 unreleased) ... more
