Getemal Killemal Murder trial seems worthwhile for the front page. Job loss—record rates! Alarming figures procreate! What set the stage? It’s only been a half a year…No, That’s not even right! It’s just a hundred days! Since the world events weren’t reflected by the front page. Get ‘em all. Kill ‘em all. Get ‘em all. Get ‘em all. Kill ‘em all. Get ‘em all. That seems to be the cry. Get ‘em all. Kill ‘em all. Get ‘em all. Get ‘em all. Kill ‘em all. Get ‘em all. From my bed I reached up and turned the TV on. Now for all my days I’ve an image of the blaze That’s still sinking in. I can hardly imagine all the jumping people And the death within. Were you included in any of their broken plans? You might not even know. Get ‘em all. Kill ‘em all. Get ‘em all. That seems to be the cry. You can erase my whole existence with a neutron bomb. All my records and writings will Float down to the ground like in September. Erased and turned to winter. God bless the USA? Well, the breadth of God is planet wide. And to keep a peaceful planet wide, Every single country must hold all their fire. To justify is to state your side closed to any other view. We’ve got a new arms race and a futile chase Put on by the law who’s singing: Get ‘em all. Kill ‘em all. Get ‘em all. We can’t let the U.S. fall. ©2002 John Snell X www.JohnSnellX.com

Sodderville 01:51
Audible Sodderville I live down in Sodderville. I live right by the pond. Break-neck work at the lumber mill… If you’ve got an inkling for traveling I’ll show you how it’s done. We save all the beer for Saturday And Friday’s full of FUN! Show me how to work! And Show me some more! Show me how to have so much fun I end up on the floor. Tell me how to get out and look up towards the sky. Show me what your way of life is all about. I’ve never been out of the County. I’ve never been sent to Jail. I only know of the pleasantries that good clean fun entails. I think I know everyone in Sodder (Everyone I care to know) I can’t imagine living in a city— There’d be too many places to GO! So come ON Show me how to work! Show me some more! Show me how to have so much fun I end up on the floor. Tell me how to get out and look up towards the sky. Show me what your way of life is all about. ©2002 John Snell X www.JohnSnellX.com JohnSnellX@Juno.com Written 2/2002

The Drownings He nearly drowned in the bathtub already drowned in malt liqueur. He found he could drown in finance, but his drugs could do it quicker. He lost himself in movies and solved the wrong scenarios. He drowned out all his problems ‘till his brain was no good to solve ‘em. He was on his way to Johnny’s to forget about the drownings. Clear night shown above him and on his mind smiled Patsy Collins. The summer was racing around his open car; the tempo of the cement was increasing like never before. He started to question weather he was on his way to or from the bar or on his way to Sheila’s—the dancer/waiter at the bar. Everything sorta revolved around the bar until…until everything revolved around his car. All good things come to an end. All pathways need a good bend. All of our lives meet their end. I often wonder how and when. The garbage by the roadside once formed our good friend’s insides. That rusted, old chrome bumper got wrapped around that oak somehow. Sometimes in the late evening you can hear those tires screamin’. The wind carries smell of Daniels through the trees ‘round Johnny’s deathbed. At Johnny’s they still talk the drownings, and every Friday Sheila still hears him pounding. Each shot glass that slams the counter makes her turn. Every time the wood screen door slams her shoulders jump. She’ll stop—round tray in hand—She’ll remember the wet smile of Johnny…While the conversations around her are void of life…void of life…. They’re void of life—speak just of death and car. Void of life—speak just of death and car. All good things come to an end. All pathways need a good bend. All of our lives meet their end. I often wonder how and when. ©2002 John Snell X www.JohnSnellX.com

Atmospheric Entertainment Listen to the new moon on my song. Sit with open windows—Breeze then calm. I went out the window Breeze caused my crescendo. Catch the sinking new moon before it’s gone. And see it as a celestial world today. Not just as a light in sky, then look away. The breeze is the oldest song that’s been around. Half-lit moon old entertainment town. I look out my window. Breeze does it’s crescendo. A new version of the oldest song around. Take in a celestial film today. It’s deeper than anything new today. Heat rides on a wave—can cause a storm. Atmospheric entertainment’s come. Rain beats on the window. Wind causes crescendo. A new song by the oldest band around. Take in a celestial film today. It’s deeper than anything new today. It’s better than anything new today. ©2001 John Snell X written in 25 minutes on the eve of June 24th, 2001 www.JohnSnellX.com

Song for Mary One event in time…Loved Mary’s gone. The other love feels alone. Nothing can stop free falling. There’s nothing worse in this world. I see her carry on. I wish I could help her out in any way. Parts of the past are horrible. Let’s hope the future will work out anyway. One event in time…Holding still. That’s what transpires in the end. Nothing can stop free falling. I see her carry on. I wish I could help her out in any way. Parts of the past are horrible. Let’s hope the future will work out anyway. ©2000 JS10 Written January 14, 2000

Boogity Boggity Let’s say we’ve got miles to go and the Chance is really slim on ever getting there. We’ve got some wood and water—The earth is made of dirt. (Boogity Boggity) That moon is so bright and so far away. There’s no chance in hell we’re ever climbing there. There’s a whole lot of air between this, that, and there. (This, the other, what the…where are the words?) I can’t imagine walking on the moon and looking up at Africa! I can’t believe it’s happened to another human before! The moon, my feet, my ship floats above the world and Africa. The future will always hold trains And sericeous atmospheric entertainment. The Delicious Sideburns are More Purpler. And the machines that make steal are STEAL! I can’t imagine walking on the moon and looking up at Africa! I can’t believe it’s happened to another human before! The moon, my feet, my ship floats above the world and Africa. This world’s messed up and so am I. That pig got tossed—might as well fry. This pen’s got coup. Turkey on Rye. But think only you when on drive by. I can’t imagine living on the moon and Have your view be Africa! But I believe it’ll happen to a human explorer. The moon, my ship, my house floats above the world and Africa. End of the song. (Written on 10/10/98—John Lennon’s Birthday. A song for him. Words printed as written. The recorded performance got a little crazy)

Song 05:35
Song A death where I’m confused would be shocking. And dogs don’t know how to get out of the way. I think I’ll just write what I’m thinking, ‘Cause I’ve seldom done that before. You see, most of my songs have meaning. It’ll be nice to have one with none. I’ll just sit here and watch the orange moon rise. I was thinking, “Let Mother Nature drive”. I’ve got to change the melody…I’ll use F here not C! I think songs sound best when ending, But that may just be the writer’s view. And it’s best to call back after gigging— They might even want to rebook you. I’ve got to change the melody…I’ll use F here not C! I don’t know where to take this melody… © 2002 John Snell X www.JohnSnellX.com

John's mother can attest to him dancing to the hum of the vacuum cleaner while he was still in cloth diapers.
