Chris Buckmister it's so hard to pick a favorite track! Red Lava Lamp is pretty darn cool. I love the psychedelic feel and how you feel like you are rolling along for a ride while listening.

Listen with headphones, you'll appreciate it!

John has much more material available. Hopefully he'll add it here someday, but do yourself a favor and reach out to him to get a hold of the rest of his material. Great music and thoughtful lyrics. Favorite track: Red Lava Lamp.

The Word of the Inner Self This is the word of the inner self. I’m in a conscious state of mind. You and I in the inner self look without need to talk at all. Ahhh, Ahhhh. Crazy for you I’m head over heals upside down for you girl I’m in love and have been all of my daydreams are involving only you. Ahhh, Ahhh…. Mind over evolution Hypnotize and see. Progress through minds sharing a frequency. 12/2001 ©John Snell X

Alternate Vocals to A War Means This is what I do I sit here and write the song A red lava lamp is great. A red spread across the bed’s great. Changin’ color fish is lookin’ real nice. Changin’ ball bouncin’ ‘round the screen’s nice. Digital clock that counts is mine. Yellow submarine mobile’s mine. And all the glittering lights and toys – extensions of my mind! I’ve seen things in eleven dimensions. Curled in ways we cannot comprehend. Ride on through with anyone who can. It’s the change we’ll see when Heaven has unfurled. Disco ball hangs high. My light bulb’s been burnt out For quite a while now. S’pose I’ll fix it soon. I love looking at toys And listening in on tunes. I love looking at old things and thinking they were once new. Well I’ve seen things through eleven dimensions. Curled in ways we cannot comprehend. Ride on through with anyone who can. It’s the change we’ll see when Heaven has unfurled. When heaven has unfurled. When Heaven has unfurledeI’maponyonaride. (I'm a pony on a ride.) ©2003 John Snell X www.JohnSnellX.com Written April-May 2003

Carry Away 04:16
Carry Away I live today…and I’ll live tomorrow… But I have to say that eventually, well, I will carry on. I’ll cast away…livin’ the day… Leave it up to everybody else to see it carry on. Carry away Carry away Carry away the part of us that stays at home. Act in a way…that leaves people say, “Seems he must ‘a knew what he was doin’ with his time around.” With that I pray…when comes the day… I have a lot of help from you know who and I know that I will. Carry away Carry away Carry away the part of us that stays at home. ©2003 John Snell the Tenth www.JohnSnellX.com Written 6-24-2003 real fast like. 20 minutes maybe.

Long Live Azraelle I left my life in Texas on their local radio. I set out on the unpaved trail with no where left to go… And off on the horizon were my favorite pair of friends. The new moon was chasin’ down the sun—they’re back in synch again. Well I’m missing the real world I had when I was young. There’s something that’s been missing, but I still carry on… Long live Azreal. And her Gargemel. He-Man, Scooby Doo… What am I to do?
“Well let’s put this here, and let’s put that there!” I fished off of a pontoon with my Grandma’s favorite friend. His spaniel’s name was Flicka…to think they’ve both since met their end… My existence started long ago, but I’m young compared with some. And we’ll all keep on living even after life is done… Yah, I’m still missing the real world I had when I was young. There’s something that’s been missing, but I still carry on… Long live Azreal And her Gargemel. He-Man, Scooby Doo… What’s a guy to do?

Haven (out of this body) I’ve got to get out of my body. I’ve got to get out of my everyday body. I’ve got to take it up with the people (the people that are sittin’ upstairs). If they’ll take me now I’ll be as happy as a fresh, slain lamb. I’ve got to get out of this body. I’ve got to somehow get out of this everyday body Then I can do this without my human getting in the way. I’ll lay him down here and you can smile as I sing this song. Cause this is mE, MAN! Imagine that, MAN! And if you think it sounds bad from there, you should try it from here. I’ve traveled Eastward. I’ve traveled Westward. I’m on the Black Diamond but I meant to ski the Bunny Hill. You’ve got to get out of your body you’ve got to get everything of your body. You’ve got to make sure toxins are getting out all the way. You’ve got a mess o’ mixture that I’d hate to try to figure out now. I’ve got to get out of this body. I’ve never tried so hard to get out of a body. I’ve taken a piece off here and there and some in pairs. With what we have left there are some definite possibilities. See this is ME! MAN! Get a load of THAT, MAN! And if you think it sounds bad from there, shit, you should here it in here! I’ve lead him Eastward. I’ve led him Westward. I put him on the Diamond and I told him “It’s the Bunny Hill”. Bridge o cords We’ve traveled Eastward. We’ve traveled Westward. We’ll keep serchin’ round searchin’ round for the perfect song. (so far the only lines to repeat are “I’ve got to get out of this body.”) Coming to the end is forever. I never would have guessed I’d go on here forever. But it’s the way things must’a turned out –supposed to be. I’m singin’ up and down today. I’m wonderin’ if you’re ridin’ along. So this is what I am Man! And this is what I do Man. Keep lookin’ round looking round for the perfect song. We’ll travel Eastword, we’ll traveled Westward I thank you for letting us two here come along. Guitar bridge to end. 10-11/2002 ©2002 John Snell X www.MinnepolisMusic.com (Cause it’s just me MAN! Doesn’t mean it’s you, man. I understand it might not be the best or the brightest thing.)

A Hooey A Wa Hewee I like a cookie, a beautiful smile. A walk among the trees can keep you good for a while. A Birthday, a Band-Aid, some classical Jazz A hooey a wa hee wee and a raza mataz I like a record and a song They've kept me out of trouble for so long Keep it right now And feel all right now We're gunna show how To get back on the Golden Road. So get out your fancy, colorful souls And cover up the evil all over the globe A smile to strangers can spread like a shield. It's catchy, contagious--it doesn't congeal. A power you cannot conceal If you strike me down I'll just surround the world. Keep it right now And feel all right now We're gunna show how To get back on the Golden Road. May 23rd, 2004. 30 minutes

It's a cowboy’s love song... Tell me that you care for me and Honey I'll be true. When I settle down at night I think of only you. And when I'm ridin' on the windy trail and get to feeling blue I keep a goin' with the hope that someday I will marry you. As for now it looks I've got another trail to ride. The coffee that I finished makes me think of yours with pride, To think your dress and windy hair area waiting for me to arrive Makes me look way down the trail a hopeful and a teary-eyed.

What to do w/ a sleeping Lion (Piano G# B Song) Look at all the people. I wonder what they have to say. Signs above them reading, “No Blood for Oil!” “Stop War Today!” (alternate first verse: I document the action I’m hoping for a strong reaction Bush and Cheney have to listen What will stop their motovation God?) Take a look around… We’re gunna get up and get ‘em down Take a look around… We’re gunna get up sit up gather knock ‘em down. Take a look around… We’re gunna get up and get ‘em down Take a look around… We’re gunna get up sit up gather knock ‘em down. We’d better shoot that lion. He’s got some claws—they’re hidden away. Take that spear and poke him. You’ll see I’m right, just don’t run away. OK! It’s time to sleigh! Take a look around… We’re gunna get up and get ‘em down Take a look around… We’re gunna get up sit up gather knock ‘em down. Take a look around… We’re gunna get up and get ‘em down Take a look around… We’re gunna get up sit up gather knock ‘em down. ©2003 John Snell X www.JohnSnellX.com Written Jan 18, 2003 on the Piano

Concentrate on the date…what’s to come? The world’s big power horse wants to drive into the ground the other team. We all get mad, we all get dumb. Does anybody still have their head??! Please put it on and stop this coming dread… Take a little time and it will work out fine. I’ve got a plan how we can get along: A lot of care and share and a lot'a less'a pushin’ around. Concentrate on the date…what’s to come?
If it’s not up to us, let’s at least put all our thoughts towards ideal ways.

Jack Demsy is a fish Pervasive is a word. Jack Demsy is a fish These are words that just popped into my head. Pervasive as a fish. Jack Demsy is a word. These things suddenly popped into my head. People like a song that is all nice and uppity. Doesn’t matter if you can learn from it. Everybody singing now and living happily. We like the verse so much let’s go back to it. Pervasive is a word. Jack Demsy is a fish These are words that just popped into my head. Pervasive as a fish. Jack Demsy is a word. These things suddenly popped into my head. People like a song that is all nice and uppity. Doesn’t matter if you can learn from it. Given all the things in life we do not understand, Let’s just keep this song running really simple. Pervasive is a word. Jack Demsy is a fish These are words that just popped into my head. Pervasive as a fish. Jack Demsy is a word. These things suddenly popped into my head. People like a song that is all nice and uppity. Doesn’t matter if you can learn from it. Everybody singing now and living happily. We like the verse so much let’s go back to it. No! No! I sing this song in honor of a colonoscopie. I think the word should be colonascapoop. The end is coming here I’m glad that you all sang with me. Don’t forget to vote in the next election. 10 minutes of writing 7/24/2002 ©2002 John Snell X www.JohnSnellX.com

Unhappy to be with you Even if I think I’m getting played like a girl with a banjo I still can’t stop my buttons from getting pushed. I still do all the things she wants though I know I’m not supposed to. But She knows me well enough to know what I like. She tells me things she wants to They’re things that make me sad. Then she’s right there to help me stop feeling bad I’m happy to be with you. Unhappy to be with you. I’m happy to be with you. Unhappy to be with you. Tell me good advice and I’ll smile with some huge appreciation. I might even learn a couple new things or two. But when I get blown over by the news of her likin’ others I’m just about as helpless as the water in her drinking glass. I can feel real mad and spiteful Impatient and untrue But I’ve got nothing useful I can do. I’m happy to be with you. Unhappy to be with you. I’m happy to be with you. Unhappy to be with you. © John Snell X 2002 www.JohnSnellX.com Written 12/13/02 in about 14 minutes

This is how I feel Today I leave the door politely halfway open for strays. I got a reserved, down, leather-clad man—lost his way. Lifted his load languidly ‘long my back. Now this is, this is how I feel today. I walk to kick and lock the door…work on load. Yah, this is, this is how I feel today I had a theory holding strong…until now. I take your pain—compose a song ‘till it’s gone. I’ve never had a pain so strongly hold on and on and on and on… Yah, this is, this is how I feel today I walk to kick and lock the door…carry on. Yah this is, this is how I feel today…
